ABOUT HARROGATE FILM SOCIETY
NOW SCREENING AT ODEON HARROGATE
Now in its 66th season, Harrogate Film Society is run by a group of film enthusiasts in an informal, welcoming atmosphere. We are currently working on our new programme for the 66th season starting in September. As always this will focus on bringing you critically acclaimed and diverse films from all over the world. Entertaining, thoughtful, sometimes unusual and stimulating, virtually all rarely screened in the U.K.
Screening the films at the Odeon allows us to be able to offer members and guests the full cinematic experience, including surround sound and comfortable seating.
As well as our core programme of contemporary films from around the world, we also sponsor and actively support the annual Harrogate Film Festival, and organize occasional film-related events in the local community under the banner of 'Flash Film'.

HARROGATE FILM FESTIVAL
Harrogate Film Society has sponsored and supported the festival since its inception. Films we have screened under the auspices of the festival include Reservoir Dogs, American Psycho and The House That Jack Built.
With this initiative, our goal is to promote film in the local community. Films we have shown under this banner include Some Like it Hot, Brooklyn and Cabaret, in venues as varied as the North Bar, the Manhattan Club and Harrogate Theatre.
JOIN HARROGATE FILM SOCIETY
Annual membership will give you free access to all 15 films for the 2021-22 season, as well as priority access to ad hoc events organised by the film society during the year. As well as the films themselves, we also put on 4 pre-film social evenings, and several post-film disussion groups. Everyone who attends the films is welcome to attend these.
