About the Event
This winter warmer event is organised by St Robert's Club with the support of Harrogate Film Society. The film will be screened upstairs at St Robert's Club and the ticket price will include soup and a roll, together with cake and a hot drink. Tickets will be available via the film society website or at St Robert's Club and places are strictly limited to 25.

The film was nominated for 15 awards at the Oscars and Golden Globes and won 4 Academy Awards (Best Actress, Scoring, Cinematography & Art Direction ) and 3 Golden Globes (Best Picture, Actress & Director) in 1943.
The novel itself was extremely popular, spending more than a year on The New York Times Best Seller list and thirteen weeks heading the list. The story was also turned into a Broadway play, which opened at the Belasco Theatre in March 1946.
