Based on the history of the New Yorker and described as a nostalgic love letter to a bygone era of journalism, the film is set in a fictional 20th century French city, Ennui-sur-Blase where an outpost of an American newspaper brings to life a collection of human interest stories. A quirky and whimsical film, beautiful to look at, romantic and melancholic.
It features an expansive ensemble cast and follows three different storylines as the French foreign bureau of the fictional Liberty, Kansas Evening Sun newspaper publishes its final issue.
Entry is free for members.
