NORTHERN SOUL | 2014 | Dir. Elaine Constantine | 15 | 102 minsÂ
Â
A British film telling the story of two young Lancashire teenagers, whose lives are changed forever by the discovery of African-American soul music and the dance culture that grew up around it in northern Britain.
The film divided opinion when it was released , but its amazing soundtrack, top-notch acting and the obsessive attention to detail in order to recreate the 1970's scene, make it a must-see for "soulies".
Local Northern Soul DJ Ian Smith will introduce the film and follow it with some Northern Soul Classics.
