Part of Harrogate Cenotaph's Centenary Commemoration Event.
St Wilfrid's Church is pleased to be supporting the events commemorating the centenary of Harrogate’s Cenotaph in 2023.
At 11.00 am on 11th November, after observing the national two minute silence, there will be a guided walk around the Church's four WW1 memorials and a talk about the 18 lives commemorated there - most of whose names also appear on the Cenotaph.
Linger afterwards to read the biographies of these men in the WW1 exhibition.The exhibition, just inside the Church’s main entrance on Duchy Road, is open for viewing Monday to Saturday 9 to 5 pm (but not 11-12 on Wednesday) and 12.30-3.30 pm Sundays.

Visitors are welcome to light a candle in memory of family or friends who served in the Armed Forces.St Wilfrid’s is a magnificent Grade I listed church. Designed by renowned architect Temple Lushington Moore and is one of his best-known works.  The church is the only Grade I listed building in the town of Harrogate.
